I think we really need to start this chat by addressing who isn't here.

And this is the second podcast I've done in recent times where we've started off with this,

obviously with the Monster Carp thing and Ali.

But arguably, Alex is a bigger sort of um absentee isn't he

in that sense it's you could say it's it's it feels like a quite large loss because he he's my

brother um and we filmed together we may we work together fish together filmed together for 15 years non-stop

you know with no with no breaks no the longest we went without filming a video together was

maybe a month a month and a half so it was we were like that like properly very very linked what

earth did you do in that month uh i think he went on he went on holiday with some friends or

something um but yeah because i worked with alex so closely for so long when he said you know

i think i don't want to do this anymore i I want to start my own thing. I want to

go on my own journey. I was a bit like, no, no, this can't be happening. But it turned out to be

for the best. Do we know that yet? Yes. Well, I know that because he's told me. I think Alex was

gradually losing his passion for fishing because it became his job,
