do a good job. Yeah, they do. And I'm fascinated to see Bob stoop step in there because Urban Meyer was awesome. Um, just in, in, you know, I think if I'm not mistaken, I remember watching you on the herd. And you said you asked Urban Meyer to draw you up a play. No, well, yeah, we did. We have a. Have a big watching you on TV, Lavar. That's called support. That's pretty dope. Yeah. Um, yeah, we we were in the avocado room there.

I at Fox at the Fox lot. And I was thinking of a play that I really, really liked. And I had had conversations with coach Mangenia about it, like maybe a day or two before. And then coach Urban was in in the in the green room. And I was like, man, like coach.

You got a moment. He goes, yeah, I was like, all right, this has been on my mind. Like I really enjoyed this, this approach to a play. And it was, it was a bunch, bunch trip set, a type, bunch trip set. And I basically was telling him I was like, listen, we don't have a really good offensive line. But our skill guys are really, really good. And I was like, this is how I'm thinking we should align.

This is the play's progressions that I want to run out of it. What do you think? And he started drawing up the different play progressions out of the set. And then he was like, you know, if you used to line him here.

If you set him here, you shift him there in those moments after you do this, it's going to where I ran it. Man, it worked to perfection. That's awesome. Work to perfection. I got pictures of it.

Edge NFL matchup was one of my favorite shows grown up as a football fan. I used to love because they would design these plays and they would put together these plays and these offenses and these, you know, these formats. And I just thought it were these formations. And I just thought it was so entertaining, man, to see somebody.

Look at things at a highly educated level and be able to explain them to you. I just think it's fascinating. It's like it's like these cooking shows when they describe how they put something together. I just always think it's interesting to see people work at that high of a level and Urban Meyer is one of the one of the great college coaches and we'll get to see what that looks like in Jacksonville this upcoming season.

Now big news out of the world of sports yesterday and the epicenter was Los Angeles. So for many people listening right now on AM 570 L.A. Sports, the blowtorch of Fox Sports Radio.

You know that it was a wild day yesterday. The Lakers make a move. They acquire Russell Westbrook. And then right when you're thinking, oh man, you know, the Lakers have figured it out and they're going to have a big three. And this is all all going to be fun.

Some news trickled out that the San Diego Padres had acquired Max Scherzer who was the big fish on the open market. And so Dodger fans were bummed out disappointed. This could be a problem. Max Scherzer's a stud.

And then we started to hear that the deal wasn't done between Max Scherzer, the Washington Nationals and the San Diego Padres and lo and behold, the L.A Dodgers swooping and not only land Max Scherzer, but they land Tray Turner as well to a massive coup for the L.A Dodgers to take him away from their division rival and add Tray Turner on top of it.

And earlier in the show, John Palmero, C.R. Fox Sports Radio MLB insider. He gave us some of that inside information as to how this deal came through.

Well, a couple things. I think number one, it was close at one point with the Padres yesterday, but it was not done and it never was done. This is not a deal where there was a deal that was agreed upon and then all of a sudden the sides back to way from it.

That that was not what happened. It did get close with the Padres, but I also think once those reports started coming out that the Padres were stepping up their efforts. All of a sudden the Dodgers said, wait a minute.

Are we going to let Max Scherzer go to our division rival or are we going to increase our prospect package and then make sure that to get Scherzer.

We also get Turner and that that was the reason why the Dodgers were comfortable putting in Kieber Ruiz and Josiah Gray.

They're number one and number two best prospect. And I think that all along we've seen in this last week or so.

Teams comfortable with this notion of packaging two players together that would make a team more comfortable giving up its top prospect or two that you go with quality over quantity as a team that's selling your best player so to speak.

And that's exactly what the nationals did. They wanted Ruiz as their future catcher. They wanted Gray as a future starting pitcher. And to do that they had to put both Turner and Scherzer in the deal. They liked what the Dodgers offered at the end better than what San Diego did.

And now Max Scherzer is going to be a Dodger and Trader. It's a big day in baseball guys. This is a transport of the Dodgers that have taken on more payroll.
