Welcome back to the Iron College basketball podcast.

I got Matt Norlander here with me.

We are both in Las Vegas, Nevada, though in different rooms in different hotels.

We were both at the Cashman Center late last night for a spectacle.

Unlike anything, grassroots basketball had ever before produced.

Just a wild scene, a total madhouse.

Lavaar Balls, big ballers, led, of course, by his youngest son, 15-year-old Lamello

Ball.

They were matched up against Zion Williams' team from South Carolina, and the result was

an over-capacity crowd, fire marshal called thousands of fans turned away.

Among them, LeBron James, who was planning on attending, actually drove to the gym, was

in the parking lot, but was subsequently encouraged by Adidas officials to stay away because

the scene was already a madhouse, and his presence would take it to another level.

I've been attending July events for about 15 years now, and I have never seen anything

close to what we saw last night, and the reason is simple.

My all accounts are at least by most accounts.

There's never been anything like it.
