The Who determines the How.

The disciples did not merely want Jesus to help them have a "better spiritual life" or a deeper prayer life; they wanted to pray how He prayed. And Jesus taught them. He taught them that Who we pray to determines how we pray.

0:03.8	This is going to jump right into it.
0:06.0	Because I just think that it's fascinating.
0:08.2	In Luke chapter 11, it's the first,
0:10.4	what, 13 verses of chapter 11, really remarkable
0:13.9	because the whole context is set up where
0:18.8	they're seeing Jesus pray.
0:20.0	Because this is one of the things that Jesus will do a lot,

0:22.8	Jesus would be praying.
0:23.6	They would see him go off by himself.
0:25.2	But this is one of those occasions
0:26.8	where they were watching the Lord pray.
0:28.8	I don't know if you've ever done that.
0:29.8	Or you're just going to watch someone pray.
0:31.1	And you're like, I wonder what's going on inside there?
0:33.3	Here are the disciples of Jesus.
0:35.2	And they know that this person, they might not know who he is.
0:38.3	They might not know what he is, full God and full man.
0:40.6	But they know that he prays a lot.
0:43.5	And they know that he does it differently than them.
0:46.0	So they ask him, like basically,
