with a town of Burnsville, Minnesota issuing a warning. Don't dump your unwanted goldfish

in local lakes. When goldfish are in tanks, they usually only grow to about two inches,

but when placed in lakes, some grow to the size of footballs, and the problem is these seemingly

innocent fish are actually an invasive species, meaning they don't belong in those lakes and take

food from fish that are supposed to be there. The invasive goldfish also pull up water plants and

stir up dirt, making the water quality worse. And this isn't just a problem in Burnsville.

Last year, over 50,000 giant goldfish were removed from the lakes of another nearby county.

And in case you're wondering, the Guinness World Record says,

the largest goldfish ever was over 18 inches long found in California's Lake Tahoe.

The number of athletes testing positive for COVID at the Olympics is on the rise.

Teenage tennis star Coco Gough was the first to say she won't be playing.

The Tokyo Games would have been the 17-year-olds first Olympics, and she set on social media that she

is so disappointed. Quote, it's been a dream of mine to represent the USA at the Olympics,

and I hope there will be many more chances for me to make this come true in the future.

Kara Eker, an alternate for the US gymnastics team, also tested positive, despite being vaccinated,

as did an NBA player and two South African soccer players. In all, as of this recording,

Tokyo organizers report there are 61 cases directly tied to the Olympics, which haven't even started

yet. The opening ceremony is this Friday. Popstar Olivia Rodrigo is the latest celebrity on the

COVID vaccination train, and she recently shared her message straight from the White House.

The 18-year-old singer-songwriter and actress met with President Biden and his chief medical

adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci in the Oval Office last week to encourage young people to get their shots.
