Unquestionably, it would be one of the most significant upheavals in the history of the sport.

A real life umpire will still stand behind the catcher, but instead of calling pitches as he sees them, he'll make the call at the direction of a tiny computerized voice in his earpiece.

Trackman, a high-tech, high-calibrated system of lasers that reads the pitch as it crosses the

plate, will tell the ump whether what he just saw was a ball or a strike.

This roboo ump is already being used for the eight teams in the independent Atlantic League.

If it's successful there, look for it to show up at a

major league park near you in the not-too-distant future. A single dad from

Houston didn't plan on becoming a social media sensation.

It just sort of happened after he asked his Twitter happy teenage daughter

for fashion advice.

As for Carly she just hopes her dad finds someone to bring him happiness for a lifetime because as she says he deserves it more than anyone she knows.
