So after all the drama in Bangladesh this week with the resignation of longtime leader

Sheikh Hasina amid massive street protests, the country has a new interim leader,

Nobel Peace Prize winner and Economic Professor Mohammed Eunice.

He set up the Grameen Bank offering micro long-term loans to help poor people start businesses,

which led to his nickname as the Banker of the Poor.

Sheikh Hasina wasn't a fan of his though describing him as a blood sucker

accusing him of charging extortionate interest rates on loans and slapping him with several lawsuits.

News hours Julian Marshall spoke to Mohammed Eunice in June this year and asked him how he responded

to Sheikh Hasina's accusations.

I tried to remind her or people who were listening saying that look I'm not the

owner of the bank so if somebody is sucking the blood it's not me I'm an employee of the bank. So if somebody is sucking the blood it's not me. I'm an employee of the bank and I

created this bank which is owned by the poor people. 97% of the shares of the bank are with the borrowers of the bank.

So it's simply give you a bad name, that's all.

It doesn't have any justification or anything else.

Do you have political ambitions? No, I don't. I keep repeating that a million times.

But you once did, didn't you?

And the military in Bangladesh reportedly were quite interested in your political ambitions.

I became interested because of the pressure put on me at that time there's no political

party in existence. Everybody said you are the only one who can get the political party moving.

And I continued with that idea for 10 weeks. And after that I said to everybody that, look, I'm not the kind of person,
