Summary

You don't become what you think about. You become what you think about and INTERNALIZE. And the most direct path to internalization is through emotion.

On today's episode, Earl Nightingale shines some light on goal setting, reminds us of his definition of success, and shows you how to make your goals part of who you are.

Today's clip comes from Earl's audio program Start Here available on the Nightingale Conant website.

Happy Wednesday to you. Today's feature speaker is Mr. Earl Nightingale. This talk really

0:45.2

piggybacks on what Bob Proctor was talking about on Monday. If you remember at the end

0:49.9

of Bob's talk, he says, you don't become what you think about. You become what you think

Most people only think of the words success tend to equate it with lots of money. Sometimes

1:49.4

that's a natural part of the goal and tells us how well we're doing, but not always for any means.

1:55.0

Success is whatever we want it to be that is worthy of us. That's why I commented earlier

2:00.4

that success may also be defined as the pursuit of a worthy ideal. For example, I can't imagine anyone

2:06.9

being more successful than an outstanding teacher who's striving to know more about the art of

2:11.9

teaching and the subject matter that will catch the interest of his or her pupils.

2:17.5

Who understands that every student is different and learns at a different rate of speed.

Joanne's satisfaction comes to us from serving others and there are literally millions of ways

of doing that. For those whose goals involve the serving of great numbers of people,
