Okay, so today we have a very interesting expression.

And I'm going to give you two versions.

Just listen.

Whatever floats your boat or whatever flips your switch.

So flip switch, they sound the same, it's interesting.

Float boat, they sound the same, it's interesting.

These are two expressions that sound funny and we like the way they sound there's no real special meaning float a boat b oat a boat it stays on top of the water

therefore it floats f-l-o-a-t

whatever floats your boat and the other flip your switch swit-ch-w-i-t-ch on our

wall or on a light listen carefully I don't know if you can hear that there i'm i'm

flipping a switch okay so if i flip it up the light goes down if i flip it down the light goes off

the switch i flip the switch up it's on the light is on i flip the switch. I flip the switch up. It's on. The light is on. I flip the switch down. The light

is off. So whatever floats your boat or whatever flips your switch are two great expressions.

But what do they mean? How do we use them? I'll explain after you listen to the dialogue.
