retirement planning education podcast. Today is the first of a two-part series where I will

be replaying audio from a chat I had with my friend Devin Carroll, where he talked about

seven Social Security myths. Specifically, Devin joined me in one of the weekly live videos I

used to do back in the Facebook group,

same name as this podcast,

where I was doing weekly videos every Wednesday night at 8 p.m.

but there was a lot of really great content in those videos,

especially when I had special guests on, one of which

was Devin. So Devin is a retirement-focused advisor based out of Texas. He is a Social Security

expert. He's an author. He's written two books. One is called the, I believe it's called the

Heroes Penalty, Heroes Penalty, which is how Social Security interacts with teachers and their pensions.

Another one is Social Security Basics.

Devin also has an absolute monster of a YouTube channel.

I don't even know what it is, over 300,000 people at this point, I think, all about Social Security.
