All right, so these are both great words, and I use them a lot.

I use both, and they mean the same thing. To chit-chat. That's one word.

C-H-I-T, C-H-A-T. To ch-chat. And to shoot the breeze. S-H-O-O-T, like with a gun, the breeze, B-R-E-E-Z-E.

A breeze is a light wind, not a really light wind that you can just barely feel.
