Summary

Day 4 of 30 Days of SPECTRE!

Ralph Fiennes, Ralph Fiennes, Ralph Fiennes! Is there any finer actor for Judi Dench to pass the M torch to than that? We wager that there is not.

We had a brief glimpse at the end of Skyfall but SPECTRE is the first time we get to see the new M in all his glory.

We talk through all the M scenes from SPECTRE, ponder on the Gareth Mallory character in comparison to Sir Miles, as played by Bernard Lee and speculate on just how long we might see Ralph dishing out 007’s orders.

0:47.9	when he was first announced obviously you know we've had em with judy denture for a while but
0:52.9	it's different it's a different relationship it really is and when you you know you we've had M with Judy Denture for a while, but it's different. It's a different relationship.

0:56.4	And when you, you know, you read the books and stuff and you see the sort of the relationship
1:02.2	between Bond and the, you know, the old Admiral that was Sir Miles Meservy and all that
1:08.4	kind of stuff.
1:09.1	And it's like M was the only man that Bond really respected.
1:12.9	Do you know what I mean?
1:13.8	Everybody else got taken for a run around the block like Q with his gadgets, for example.
1:18.3	M is the only one who can put 007 in his place.
1:21.1	Do you know what I mean?
1:22.1	And it was I was so excited to see that come back.
1:24.9	I must admit, I was disappointed that he's Gareth Mallory and not Samiles Mesovi.
1:28.6	I thought, if this is Rebo, this is where we meet some Miles.
