1 of those cool surprises that you don't necessarily expect from having kids is that your kids will get excited about your birthday because, you know, your spouse will rev them up for it and, you know, my daughter ran in and they sang Happy Birthday and they they went off to they they yeah, I don't know they're they went out for the day. It's it's less hot today than it has been for the last week or two. But you know on their way out that was it was for

fun. It was fun. You know, okay, this is cool. But yeah, you know, the actual like, you know, what am I going to, you know, my wife is like, what do you want for your birthday? Like, fucking nothing. I don't know. Like, what, you know, I don't know. I just bought a new router. Like, I don't need, you know, what are socks? I actually do need some socks. I don't ever wear them though. I need a new pair of shoes. We went to the beach over the weekend. And, uh,

so I ever since the pandemic started, I've basically only been wearing one pair of shoes. So all the way back 2020. I had this one pair of Adidas NMDs. If you're familiar, uh, that I just wore they were comfortable. And, uh, and just a good versatile pair of shoes. I'm not showing out for anybody is where the fuck I'm, you know, especially, you know, now I'm like working from home. Like, you know, my wife doesn't, I don't need to break out a pair of crispy fours to show my what, you know, like, it's it's fucking who cares.

Um, and so I've just been wearing, you know, I need shoes. I just throw on these Adidas, but I warmed to the beach. And, uh, they already there was a hole in the toe because it's kind of these stretchy material, which is part of what makes them too comfy. It's like, these are shoes, but they're kind of like slippers. This is fun.

Um, and so eventually there's a, you know, a hole worn through where my big toe is, which maybe that's a sign that I need to trim my toenails more often. But let's not get into that.

Uh, anyway, there's hole in there. And, um, and so I was already thinking like, I need to get some new shoes, but then I wore them to the beach.

And we made sandcastles and stuff and my daughter needed water. So I'm like, well, I'm going to go get some of that. So I, you know, I had to kind of get out there a little bit.

And I'm like, oh, my shoes are completely underwater right now. That's, that's fine. But, uh, but these, these shoes are, I've seen better days. So I, but I think, you know what, I might just fucking,

so I've got, I don't know, 20 or 30 pairs of shoes here, but none of them are like throw on comfortable like those NMDs are.

Um, and so I don't, I don't really want to mess around, you know, I'm not going to like pull out some fancy pair of shoes. I got a bunch of weird shoes too.

I need, there's some I need to get rid of. There's a, there's a pair of new balance with like digital camo on them that I bought in Japan.

And their size 12s, even though I'm a size 13 because they don't make shoes that go up to size 13 and sell them in Japan turns out.

Um, but they were so sick looking at the time. I was like, well, I'm getting these anyway. And maybe they'll fit. No, of course they didn't fit.

Dumb dumb. Um, and what else? I don't know. I've got a pair of size 14 PlayStation shoes that they were selling at E3 that with that one year.

Uh, because they were out of my size. So I want to size up. And then I'm just like, I should sell these. I don't, I'm not going to even wear them.

Even if they did fits, they're not great.
