One of the things that I think people who issue the liturgy

failed to understand is that it's not an accidental structure. We don't just

do things in a certain way because it's always been done in a certain way or

a certain order. There is a logic, there is a flow, there is a movement to the

liturgy and it's designed over the millennia by faithful Christians practicing

it to maximize the hearing of Christ's word of law and of gospel

both in the preaching and in the reading but also in the administration of the
