0:34.3	Reveal this weekend. If you haven't heard, the 2023 bird is belted Kingfisher.
0:40.5	The art by Nashville artist Liz Clayton Fuller was spectacular. The event itself, really fun.
0:47.1	We did something a little bit different this year. We not only held the Saturday evening event,
0:51.1	which was live streamed, and Link is in the show notes to anyone who wants to watch it.
0:54.6	But we did a whole birdie weekend around the reveal.
0:57.6	We did a couple workshops on Saturday and Sunday afternoon in art workshop and a really
1:01.8	cool modus tracking workshop.
1:04.1	We also hosted birdwalks on Saturday and Sunday mornings to Nashville birding sites.
1:09.6	And although it was the middle of December, which is not
1:11.9	really a birdy time of year for the inland southeast, my Tennessee list was boosted,
1:16.6	something like 30 species. Though admittedly, it consisted to that point of birds I saw on the
1:21.4	highway and in the yard of an Airbnb in Knoxville. But low-hanging fruit is still delicious fruit.
1:29.2	For those wondering, we did have our 2023 bird of the year on both walks.
