But this time I really believe my optimism is not misplaced.

I've been frustrated for a long, long, long time that our post high school education system

in the United States has been rigid, institutional, bureaucratic, and not been focused on the needs

of the students.

And I believe that economic forces unleashed by COVID are going to absolutely change that

equation because a lot of people who in the past may have felt, okay, I got to go off

to college now.

I'm done with high school or whatever.

They're like, wait a minute, wait a minute.

For that job, what I really need is a certification in this computing skill.

Or for that job, what I need is a certification in this.

Or I need to go into this internship or apprenticeship or whatever.
