Thank you so much for joining us on the line of fire. This is Michael Brown. I just came back from ministering in Texas over this week in Fort Worth, Texas. So right in the midst of the DFW area that has been so shaken by major scandals in recent days and weeks. And one colleague of mine involved with one of the major churches where a scandal has hit said

it's like it's like a bomb went off.

And so many people questioning and struggling and in a sense of trauma.

And then at the same time, false things circulating and false charges circulating.

And it's a time of real upheaval.

But a time when I believe God is shaking his church and God is refining his church.

And this is a time when if we can say, Lord, do a fresh work in me and show me everything in my life that needs to change or our church or our system.

Lord, send your refiner as fire to purify.

Shake what must be shaken that only the unshakable

may remain.

It's a terrifying time.

It's a time of tears.

It's a time of pain, mourning, grief, disorientation, a time when we're hearing about

so many who've been hurt and abused for whom our hearts break.

At the same time, it's an awe-inspiring

moment as God himself is at work. This is the line of fire. This is Michael Brown. I'd love to hear
