Good morning and welcome to Kid News! We're on our summer break, but that doesn't mean

we can't keep those news neurons firing with a few of our favorite critical thinking questions.

Every day we'll bring you a kid news classic from the past year or so, followed by a

newdler challenge to see if you can make the story your own.

Today we go back to January of 2022 for a car that is part chameleon and can change color

with the push of a button. BMW's concept SUV can cycle through three hues on demand. One

minute it's white, the next black or gray. So far those are the only three colors, but

it's a start. According to CNN, the trick isn't done with paint. The surface of the car

has millions of tiny capsules, each one containing negatively charged white pigments and positively

charged black ones. Electric currents bring the pigment of choice to the surface to create

the different shades. The car can be all one color or show off different colors on different

parts. Even the wheels can get in on the action. As cool as it is, the multi-color car is

so far just a one-off creation and there are no plans to bring it to showrooms.

Besides looking cool, how can this new invention be useful? Make a poster showing a car

with this new technology and include one or more practical applications for it.
