Hello everyone and welcome to the show. In light of recent events, the massacre that took place in downtown Orlando on Sunday morning, we are not going to be doing our normal show today.

We are going to talk about what happens Sunday. And I do want to start this by saying that if you've got kids listening, this may not be an appropriate show for them.

So yeah, by now it's no secret to anyone what happened Sunday morning, nightclub in downtown Orlando, known as Pulse, which is about two or three miles from where we're sitting right now, was was the scene of a horrific, active violence and horrific active hate.

And 49 people have lost their lives. 50 some some other people were seriously injured. That part of our in javiny is still shut down.

They said it could be weeks. It could be weeks before it's opening again. Needless to say, Orlando is while Orlando is considered a city. It is a small city. And in many regards, it's a small town.

And the degrees of separation between anybody in this room and one of the victims are sadly very, very shallow.

We know people who know people, some of us know people who were in the club that night.

The impact it's having here in Orlando is like nothing I've seen before prior since 9-11.

This this cut through our community and I'm not just talking about the gay community, I'm talking about all of us. It cut through this community like a knife.

And you know, things are emerging. Stories are emerging now about this man who who committed these acts.

That he was a regular at this club. And that he had been going there for two or three years. And that he was on various gay dating sites.

And it may end up, I mean, while you know, information is still really fluid. Everybody has jumped all over ISIS. That this is a terrorist connection. And I'm sorry. I don't think that's what it is.

He supposedly claimed affiliation with ISIS during a phone call just before the end.
