You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. So we have got somebody who is very, very upset. They have made some comments, very surprising comments. I gotta be honest with you. Everything I've heard about this coach, this sounds like the complete opposite. We will get to that here.

So before we get into this story, we were talking about the Nick Saban contract extension. How great Nick Saban has been.

Eddie Garcia. Tipped me off to son. I didn't even I didn't even think about this. But Eddie, tell me what you told or tell Brady what you told me during the break about Nick Saban where he's at now and bear Bryant.

Nick Saban will be 70 on Halloween. Bear Bryant was 69 when he died. I mean think about that. It will. I mean, it's crazy to think though now like more than ever. Just, you know, like the average lifespan since Paul Mara Bryant coached. How much it more it's improved and especially like once you're over the age of 65.

When you actually factor in like the average lifespan from that point moving forward. It's a lot longer than you think like people are living a lot longer than I think most people realize, which is a entirely different subject, but if you want to an hour for I can break into some retirement planning.

Yeah, I appreciate it. Yeah, that is our four you will be breaking breaking all that down, but just think about so by the time this contract is over. He's going to be 77 years old. Yeah, and I don't think it's outside the wrong possibility that he continues to coach after that.

What is I mean, if there's anything that Alabama fans should be concerned about in regards to Nick Saban, it's not Georgia. Okay, I don't know, I know Georgia's got a good team coming back this year. Maybe they're concerned about that right.

I don't know that it's really any other team in college football right now given that Alabama has seemed to rain supreme. I think it's all the sugar intake from the Coca Cola he drinks. Yeah, it did that.

He drinks a lot of soda. I'm just saying he does. Now, I don't know if I've actually ever seen him sip it. It's always at the press conference and my favorite thing about Nick Saban press conferences, especially when he gets frustrated is that he always slaps the podium and it's an audible.

You can clearly hear it at every single press conference, but there's that. And also I've heard I remember this story making the rounds back in the day. He's, you know, creature of habit. He's all about routine. Every morning, he has one of those little Debbie oatmeal cookies.

You know, those like those little Debbie oatmeal cream cookies. I don't I don't eat junk like that. I just say like listen, there's a lot of people.

And you don't, by the way, they don't even eat food. You haven't told this. You haven't told this show of listeners that you barely eat food. You're like the weirdest intermittent fasting.

I'm just saying I've ever talked to about food. I just I go on these. I go in long fast. Like if I have a cheat day, I don't I'm not hungry for like another day afterwards. So I go like 24 hours. So that even. And I don't care. I don't want me thing. I'm fine.

I just just just how it's how how I operate. I don't know. I mean, you do it for attention. That's what it is. Because I brought it up. I mean, you know, I I made sure when we were talking before the show to make sure that you pointed out that I do intermittent fasting when we were talking about Nick Saban and bear Bryant when he passed away. Like that's that's how this we structured this deliberately around me. I see right here on my show notes. Yeah. Yeah, it's right there. Now, now look. All right. Now look over here. Do you see this? The Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione. Is it Castiglione or Castiglione? Castiglione. I believe when you're a town, you pronounce the yeah. Listen. All right. If it's not who we will recut this after the show and splice it into the podcast. So it seems like we knew what we were talking about.

He he was complaining about their kickoff time that Fox exercise the rights to to air their kickoff in mid in mid September against Nebraska. It's a true, you know, 50th anniversary type game.

He wanted it later on Fox put it in the early window. He was upset about it, but it's it's Fox is contractual rights to exercise that if they seem fit to try and get that game. The most eyeballs they can because they're looking about their viewers. So he was upset about that. We talked about as you know whatever we we had the conversation it was it was done.

And then David Shaw, the head coach of Stanford and this came out Friday and didn't really get a lot of coverage. And so obviously Monday, there's a lot to get to. So we wanted to make sure that we had a time that we could really address this because I'll be honest with you.

I'm shocked at some of the things that he said to the athletic and complaining about their opening kickoff week one at can against Kansas state. Now keep in mind, it's not even a road game. This game is in Arlington.

And it's going to be an 11 a.m. local time kickoff there in central time in Texas. He's upset because they've got to open their season and it's a 9 a.m. kickoff local time for Stanford. Now again, they're not playing in California. They're playing in Texas.
