Today is Tuesday, June 7, 2022, and we begin with proof that it pays to stay in the moment.

A fan in Tiger Woods Gallery at the PGA Championship back in March was one of only a few in the

crowd not watching the action through a phone while filming it.

Instead, Mark Ratatick of Missouri was cell phone-free, fully present and absorbed, something

that caught the eye of the TV cameras, the internet, and eventually a beverage company.

That company spent some time trying to track him down and once it did, built a whole ad campaign

that now includes a 15-second commercial centered around Mark's decision to watch, not record,

along with a shirt and hat with his image on it.

Unreal is how Mark describes the events that have unfolded all because he decided to keep

his phone in his pocket.

The colorful Prime Minister of Great Britain is keeping his job, but just barely.

Yesterday Boris Johnson survived a no-confidence vote by his fellow politicians,

many of whom were unhappy with photo showing Mr. Johnson partying at 10 Downing Street,

which serves as his residence and his office while the rest of the country was on a COVID lockdown.

Adding to the pressures on the Prime Minister, inflation, England has been hit with a bad

bout of higher prices, just like the U.S.

Some of the sticker shock in the States, at least, is for gas, which just hit another record high.

The national average is now 487, up 25 cents in just a week.

10 states are pumping at more than $5, and in California, the pinch is even worse with a gallon

of gas costing an average of $6.34.
