Coming up, as President Trump digs in on his idea of moving Palestinians out of Gaza,

the UK government sticks to its position too.

When it comes to Gazans returning to their homes and communities, they must be allowed home.

Also concern about the port of Dover's ability to check food imports.

This will mean unchecked and potentially dangerous meat appearing on supermarket shelves

and in restaurants.

And still on food, is there a bit of nostalgia for the EU summits of old?

I'm sure it sounded even better accompanied by a cool glass of Belgian chardonnay,

and the promise of a long continental lunch.

But first, the government has underlined its commitment to letting Palestinians return to their homes in Gaza

and a future Palestinian state alongside the state of Israel.

Despite international criticism, President Trump has doubled down on his plan for Gaza.

Writing on social media, he said it should be turned over to the US

and Palestinians resettled in what he called far safer

and more beautiful communities in the region.

Sir Kier-Starmer said on Wednesday

that people must be allowed to return to their homes in Gaza

and called to make a statement in the Commons this morning
