Hey guys, how's it going? Scott here from Scottsbassessons.com and I'm back with another episode of

the Scott's Bass Lesson podcast for you. Today we've got the awesome Andrew McKinney withers from

JTQ, which is obviously James Taylor Quartet. By the way, guys, if you've not heard the James Taylor

Quartet before, it's not, you know, the acoustic guitar player James Taylor Quartet, it's the

seriously funky JTQ James Taylor Quater.

So check them out and Andrew has been playing with them for 10 years. It's 10 years ago.

Since he joined the band, he's a seriously great bass player, super funky. And in this podcast,

he's going to talk about being a better groove player, how to get the best out of the drummer that you're working with,

which is obviously super interesting subject,

and what it's like working with James Taylor as well.

I should also mention that he's head of bass at BIM as well,

which is, I don't know what it stands for, B-I-W-M in London.

It's like one of the big music schools in London. British Institute of

Modern Music, maybe, something like, that'll do. And he's a regular player in London's West End as

well. And right now he's doing, I think he's doing Dream Girls at the minute as well. You get to, he'll tell you all about it in the podcast.

And also, I think he tells you about his killer 62 P-base as well.

So obviously, you know, I'm a huge fan of the P-bases.
