Hey everybody, it's Joe Lampel, the Joe Behind Joe Gardner, and welcome to the Joe Gardner

Today, we are talking about soil, and really the science behind soil.

We're going deeper today than we've ever gone before, sorry for the pun, but we really

are.

We talk about soil a lot.

You know that if you've been listening to this show for any length of time, but this

is the first time we've really had somebody that makes his living at it, literally, and

he has since coming out of college with an academic background in horticulture.

So before you push back on the thought that this might be a little too sciencey for you,

hang in there with me, I promise.

This is really interesting stuff, and Mark Highland, my guest for today, does a great job

of breaking down the information to a level that we can all get our heads around.

And we're talking about several topics related to soil and soil amendments and nutrients.

For example, where you talk about, we right off the bat, we start talking about the pros

and cons of using peat moss.
