It is summertime, and we are in the height of tomato growing season and vegetable

gardening season for all those classic warm season crops.

And this is that time of year when the garden is going gangbusters and the pest and diseases

haven't quite figured out that you're there yet.

But fear not, they're coming, like it or not, they will be there even with our best

efforts to dissuade them and no imitation required, unfortunately, they come anyway.

But right now, all as well, at least in my garden, and I assume for many of you, things

are off to a good start.

It just got to email this morning from our friend Meg Caldyn up in Minnesota, and she is

harvesting her first sun gold tomato today.

And that is ridiculous because way up there already eating fresh tomatoes off the vine.

That is crazy.

And sun gold of all things, perhaps my favorite of all.

So I'm quite jealous at this point, but a couple of weeks from now, I'll be able to share
