Joining me today in the studio is John Baker.

Now, when it comes to bait, John is one of the most knowledgeable and respected people around.

Since the early 70s, his baits have literally caught thousands of specimen-sized fish.

Now, naturally, John is a hugely experienced angler and has had the pleasure of

fishing some of the country's most prestigious venues including Redmeier Paul, Savay and Ashley Paul.

His angling has also taken him around the world where as well as catching carp to over £70

pounds he's also caught amongst other species, monster tarpins were over £ pounds. He's also caught, amongst other species,

monster tarpins were over 120 pounds.

Now, during this show,

John shares with us some fantastic information and some brilliant stories

from what many people would regard

as the golden era of cart fishing.

John Baker, we are live. Welcome to the podcast. Great to have you on the show. Well, thank you very much for asking me and it's a privilege to be asked. John, it's been a long time coming, mate. You've been, everybody's been asking for you, honestly. And John's been messed around a little bit as well, hasn't he? So, well, you're, you're flattering me a bit here. It's lovely to be here.

And I've already bumped into, you know, to Danny and Damon and Tom.

And it's great to see all the pictures, you know, up on the wall of some old pals of mine.

Brilliant.

Absolutely lovely. It's unusual, actually.

We were saying that, you know, Dan's in and out of the office. We don't, we don't necessarily see him all the time. So it's nice to come in and say hi to him, isn't it?

Yeah, it was great. He's looking very well. And, you know, everybody's, there's a certain atmosphere here, which, which, it's like going into a giant swim. every room you go in there's a bit of fishing
