Today's expression, oh, I'm giving you a double meaning.

The expression is fingers crossed.

I crossed my fingers. My fingers were crossed. Keep your fingers crossed. It's a great expression. And I'll give you two meanings. Well, first of all, fingers. How many fingers do you have?

You have ten fingers.

If you're normal, if you're healthy, if you're happy, you have ten fingers.

Some people have no fingers.

It's not funny, but most of us have ten fingers.

Actually, we have two thumbs and eight fingers, but who cares?

Ten fingers.

Cross. Well, when we say the word cross,

you have to imagine this. Fingers crossed. Take your middle finger on your right hand and move the middle finger over the index finger. So we got thumb, index, middle, ring, pinky. The pinky is the small finger. So we got thumb, index, middle, ring, pinky.

The pinky is the small finger.

The thumb is, you know, the thumb, the thumb, the thumb that we give a thumbs up.

So thumb, index finger, that's the pointer.

Take the middle finger, the one in the middle, and put it over the index finger, and now

you have crossed your fingers. So in America, when we say cross your fingers, cross your fingers,
