So I so appreciate you tuning in today. Today I wanted to do another podcast on one of the topics I'm most passionate about and that's a concept I call perfectly hidden

If you haven't heard me talk about it as of yet, there are several podcast episodes on it, 3, 4, 2 1, 30, and 31 so far. I wrote a post back in May of 2014, just my normal ordinary posting, I thought. The title of the post was,

the perfectly hidden depressed person, are you one? Well, it went viral. At least what was viral for me on my side at that

point. Almost 2,000 likes or shares. I remember thinking something was wrong with my

laptop. I didn't know what was happening.

But I have since researched and talked about depression and how it's different from

perfectly hidden depression, meaning that there are people who are experiencing

symptoms of depression, but have trained themselves or were trained to hide emotion to weigh over-compartmentalize pain, pretend it doesn't exist or deny

that it exists, better term than pretend, and that this way of life has become so

normal quote-unquote that the depression that lies underneath is never

addressed. People don't even have words to express any kind of trauma or pain.
