Today is the 50th episode of the SBL podcast. Episode 50. I can't believe we've even got here.

I can remember it was just a seed of an idea. I think we did 12. I think the initial run was 12 and then we were trying to figure out whether we were going to carry on.

Obviously, we did carry on because now we're on episode number 50.

But I just want to give a massive shout out to all you guys that have been tuning in each and every week,

listening to these great podcasts and a huge shout out to all the guests that have been on as well.

Because obviously, without them guys and them girls, we wouldn't, you know, we wouldn't be able to put these podcasts out every week.

So, just as a bit of a celebratory episode, we thought it'd be cool to just do a bit of a roundup of some of the past episodes that we've been putting out, some of my

favourite bits, and hopefully you'll really enjoy them too. So without further ado, let's get

into this week's podcast. And first up, we've got the amazing Victor Woon. One of my favourite

albums, like you do, you know, you've obviously got like serious chops on it,

but it was the album that he did, the trio album with Steve Smith and Scott Henderson.

You know, that's one of my favorite albums that you played on.

I absolutely loved it because there was the chops, but there was just some killing bass playing on there as well, you know.

Well, I mean, that's what I do.

Even though I solo a lot, if you really listen to 90% of it, even with Beilofleck and the Flecktones, 90% of the time I'm playing bass. It's baselines, isn't it? Yeah. But people pay attention to the soloing, you know, which I don't mind that. But it ends up causing people like me to not get called for bass playing.

For base gigs.
