As the US heads to the polls today, the Korean battery companies are bracing themselves for a potential reversal of the industry, the likes of LG, Samsung and SK, all making investments in the billions of

dollars. Ironically, in red states, and if the Republican Party wins, some say that there could

be a rolling back of some of those initiatives. But Republican senators do support the IRA because

well, their areas have benefited the most, typically. Others saying that the

investments are so large and so long term, it would be impossible to reverse out of them.

The UK market for fully electric vehicles remains strong. October registrations were 21%

of the total car market. That's Pure Beves, by the way.

That's up on September's big number.

Any suggestion that the UK is suffering from a decline in EV sales?

That story is most certainly false.

The EV market in Sweden hits a 62% share last month in October. The pure Bev share there is over 30%, 35.1% of sales.

Ford's EV sales in October unfortunately struggled an 8.3% drop in EV sales in the United States in October

because of a decrease in demand for the F-150 Lightning. Of course,

they're also closing down the F-150 Lightning production for six weeks from November the 18th.

Oslo is mandating all taxis to go electric. Now, this has been four years in the coming.

Opponents have tried to push it back and push it back, but since last Friday, all E-taxies in Oslo

must be all electric, and that follows moves by other Norwegian towns and cities.

Volkswagen will enable bidirectional charging on the ID3, 457 and bars. In Switzerland, there'll be a new 22-kilowatt

wallbox, and that will be out in 2025, which will do bidirectional charging, but no word on a wider
