Former President and current candidate Donald Trump

was found guilty late yesterday of hiding payments he

made to bury an embarrassing story before his election in 2016. The verdict is

historic. Never before has a US president been convicted of a crime.

Mr. Trump quickly slammed the trial as rigged and disgraceful and vowed to appeal, but the verdict could

jeopardize his plans for another term.
