All right, we told you yesterday about the hiker in Oregon who got trapped under a 16,000 pound boulder.

Now, he was eventually rescued, but the trouble began because he made the mistake of being nice.

You see, he stepped off the trail to let other hikers pass.

And that's when that small act of kindness,

well, it triggered a rock slide, dislodging the eight-ton boulder that fell from,

oh, I don't know, 15 feet above him and landed on his legs.

That's what you get for being nice. But look, it happens all the time. The guy in Florida saw a car crash on the side of the road. There was even a man lying motionless beside it. Well, he made the mistake of asking the guy if he was okay. Long story short, the man responded by stomping on the man's windshield, pulling the dude out of his car, kicking him, punching him, and then threatening to kill him. But look, it's not just people. A guy in Georgia, he tried to help a raccoon that he found on the road, said it seemed like it was in distress. And it was. And eventually, it attacked the guy. It was in distress because that raccoon had rabies. And in Los Angeles, the fire department had to rescue a man that was stuck in a tree.

Now, he was stuck in a tree because he had attempted to rescue a cat that had gotten stuck in a tree.

Well, it turns out the cat was not stuck in the tree, nor did it need rescue.

But this idiot slash good Samaritan, he did.

And so the fire department showed up.

And look, we have about a million other stories where doing the right thing sometimes goes

wrong. You let someone borrow your phone. Next thing you know, they open your Venmo and steal your

money. Or maybe go to rescue a child and you successfully do it. But the bystanders think that

you're a kidnapper and you know getting your ass kicked and spend some time in jail. Look, these things happen. We should all do the right thing, but just know that when you do the right thing or try to do good, well, sometimes the outcome is not always what you want it to be.
