Summary

Clay Travis is enjoying vacation, so Jonas Knox has the reins and dives into why he feels the Lakers have been fool's gold the entire season and compares them to a band he doesn't love. Jonas says that Deshaun Watson has some huge balls if he pulls a certain move and one team rumored to be interested in him is laughable. Plus, Jonas tells you what FSR Twitter poll caused the biggest uproar he's ever seen and why his NBA picks will most likely be wrong.

Your listening to Fox Sports Radio. A lot of discussion about Phil Mikkelson becoming the oldest player to ever want a major championship winning the PGA championship. So you got that discussion. My feeling on it is it's great, but how great is it considering the biggest moments in golf if you just if you asked ask yourself this.

0:48.0

What are the most memorable moments from golf over the past couple of years. There's going to be a couple answers Tiger winning the Masters.

0:58.0

Phil winning the PGA championship this weekend.

1:01.0

The match, whatever they want to call it, the first one with Phil Mikkelson and Tiger Woods, which is basically a clown show. It was like the black Friday after Thanksgiving.

1:14.0

The course got dark out. I was waiting for like some guy in a unicycle to come out and start flipping bowling pins with a giant rubber nose. It was weird, but that was a big event. And then you add during COVID, you add Tom Brady and and and Phil Mikkelson against Tiger and Peyton Manning.

1:32.0

And those are the moments you think about over the past couple of years in golf. So I think it's great that Phil won. It's an awesome story. I was rooting for him, but I just wonder we're seeing kind of the same guys over and over again.

1:45.0

And eventually you're going to have to pass the torch. And I just don't know the golf has has passed the torch yet. I think they came with Brooks Capka. Brooks Capka was complaining about the fans and you know, maybe hitting his knee on his way to the final hole and all that stuff.

1:59.0

I think they can build around a guy like that. The question is whether or not that's, you know, that's taken to by golf periods who maybe don't like his behavior and like his attitude. But nonetheless, awesome to see Phil when it I just wonder, is this good for golf from the standpoint that the biggest stories and the most memorable moments from golf over the past couple of years are guys that have been around for a long, long time.

2:26.0

And eventually they're not going to be around. So you wait to see what happens there. All right. So we transition from that over to the NBA playoffs.

2:37.0

Now earlier in the show, myself and Danny G, we went through every single series because one of the things you're hearing from from people who maybe are in a little bit of denial.

2:49.0

If their team lost the first game of the season or the first game of the playoffs, that's just one game. It's just one game. Don't worry about it. It's just one game. We're not going to freak out about it. It's a long series. It is just one game.

3:04.0

And there's nothing to worry about here. We've got this right where we want them. It is it's not an issue to anybody involved. Don't worry about it. We are good here. Everything's good.

3:16.0

And so we went through and I said, all right. Well, is it just one game or is it over based on one game? Like if you watch it and you see game one of this series, is it just one gamer is it over?

3:28.0

Now I would argue that there are some situations where you look at and you go, Hey, man, everything's going to be fine. They'll figure it out. No need to panic. No need to freak out. All right.

3:40.0

The teams are going to figure it out. I think the clippers are going to figure it out. I think Miami can figure it out against Milwaukee because Miami matches up well with anybody.

3:50.0

I look at other series and I go, it's over the Celtics of the Nets. I saw one game. I'm good. It's over. It's over. And you knew that going into it.

4:01.0

The other team that I think is in trouble is the Los Angeles Lakers. I really do. And this isn't to try and needle anybody that's listening or just waking up on the five 70 L.A. Sports. This isn't trying to try and to pick a fight with anybody.

4:17.0

But I don't know how you watch what you watched yesterday and you think to yourself, now got him right where we want him LeBron James. He spoke after the game after their loss to Phoenix in game one.

4:31.0

And he talked about Anthony Davis, maybe needing to be a little bit more aggressive. And also what game ones are normally like for him.

4:39.0

I never just one guy, but I love when he puts that pressure on himself. You know, we're a better team when he's aggressive. We're a better team. When he demands the ball.

4:51.0

But we all got to do our jobs a lot better as well.
