Leadership is about change. If you need no change, you need no leader. In times of change,

people seek out more and better leaders. Those successful sought out leaders

embraced the following thought. The best reformers the world has ever known are

those who began with themselves.

Hot Magandhi said, we must be the change that we envision. Toastoy said, everyone thinks

of changing the world but no one thinks of changing himself. One person cannot

change another person. The only person that can change themselves is themselves.

You can change yourself but I can't change you. You see, I'm responsible to you

but I'm not responsible for you. There's a world difference between those two.

But you're the only one that can take responsibility to change yourself. If you

don't like some of the stuff that's in your life or if you don't like some of

the things that you're doing within your life, the only person that can change that is you.

You can bring people around that a lot of value to you. You can give people around that

will encourage you. Be great friends, support you, walk through with you, coach you to all

that good stuff. But the only person that can change you is you. You can create the right

environment. You can certainly do the right kind of teaching. But you're responsible to

change yourself. One person cannot change another person. The second comment I would make

about personal change is this. The only way things will change for me is when I change.

It has nothing to do with hope. The only way that things will change for me is when I change.

Or I've heard this before, I don't know why I'm this way. You are the way you are because
