we begin with, word that the city that never sleeps might be sinking. New research in the

journal Earth Future suggests that the weight of New York City's 1 million buildings

and skyscrapers is causing it to settle lower into the water that surrounds it. The big

apple is losing about 1 to 2 millimeters a year, according to the report, with some of

its areas sinking much faster. And while that doesn't seem like much, geologists warn that

even a little sinking makes the city more vulnerable to natural disasters. Of all the burrows,

lower Manhattan is particularly at risk, followed by Brooklyn and Queens.

New York City was also the backdrop for some drama between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex

and photographers. According to CNN, it all started as Prince Harry, his wife Megan

Markle and Megan's mother, left the Women of Vision Awards Tuesday and were swarmed

by a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi in cars, motorcycles, and scooters. The pursuit

lasted about an hour, and after driving in circles, the royals decided to ditch their

ride and hop in a yellow cab. Ultimately, no one was injured, but police released a statement

saying that while being a public figure comes with the level of interest from the public,

it should never come at the cost of anyone's safety. Prince Harry has been adamant about

his family's security, especially in light of the high-speed pursuit and car crash that

took the life of his mother Diana in 1997.

Another royal, another rescue, this one in the music world. Queen B's mom, Tina Knowles

Lawson, had to be hoisted out of the crowd by paramedics during the singer's Renaissance

World Tour Concert in Belgium Tuesday night. Beyoncé's mom likes to watch her concerts
