This is our roundtable type discussion about managing your money.

I mean, it's just, you know, we want security in our old age.

Security, more security in our young age, too, for that matter, but in old age

age too for that matter but in old age you don't have the ability to earn the money as you do when you're younger so

this is a show that tries to help you secure that retirement.

Now one race we all need to be aware of is inflation.

I've talked about inflation many times.

Why is inflation so important to investors?

Well, inflation is measured as an annual percentage rate and

reported to us on various reports. The most common is the consumer price index.

You also have the producer price index and the PCE.

There are different reports.

As it rises, purchasing power decreases.

Fixed asset values are affected. Companies must adjust their prices for goods and services.

At that point, financial markets start to react.
