It is a police officer appreciation week. So if you see a cop say hi, a lot of them train up there at react defense because it is the best place to get your training.

Unbelievable amount of street training because it is no fair on the streets. There's no rules on those streets. They don't care. You don't have any, you know, hey, you can't do that.

You pulled my hair. You poke me and I kick me in the balls. There's none of that. You learn how to fight the way that the guy who's going to try and fight your fights.

And hopefully neutralize that situation as fast as possible. Brett went with me one time and what people don't realize is you don't sit and square off in a street fight.

You start going. And in about 15 seconds, you realize I'm gassed anything you see in the movies. Throw it out the door. Throw it right out the door.

Nothing like that. No, not at all. And you get into these things realize I better get pretty decent at getting somebody away from me in a few seconds because you run out of air.

Awful quick when you go from normal life to oh, I'm in trouble. And that's kind of what they teach you that adrenaline rise. That goes. You got all the power inside.

You just need not curl that thing and use it properly. It is so much fun. The adrenaline's amazing. You'll get an amazing shape doing it and you'll just feel good.

It's just stuff that you put in your tool belt to walk around and say, you know what? I know that. Well, it's more important to know that you're going to run out of gas.

Then to actually run out of gas or not run out of gas. So at that one cop, I always think of that one cop on the I-10, fought with a dude for eight minutes.

Eight minute M and A guys go five around and they look like eight minutes with a guy who was on drugs. And what it just couldn't subdue him.

Eight minutes of ground fighting and stand at everything. It's brutal. And so you want to try to learn how to end that as fast as you can and get through those situations.
