Animal rights activists say the 49-year-old packaderm is, unlike her name suggests, not

happy, and that she is smart and deserves rights more like a human.

So they want her freed from the Bronx Zoo in New York and move to a sanctuary.

The state's Court of Appeals has agreed to hear her story, which is reportedly the furthest

such a case has ever made it in the US legal system.

Depending on the ruling, this could impact zoos all over the country.
