| 0:00.0 | Welcome to Ask an Advisor, where we here on the Clark Howard team go deeper on all things investing, retirement, and saving for your future, hopefully being able to retire early sometimes if that's what you wish. |
| 0:17.1 | We're diving deep. We're going to talk a little bit about career today. |
| 1:11.5 | By the way, I like your new color wheel, your new set, green pop watches. Yeah, yeah. I did. I had, I went to an event at my friends law firm and they had color analysis. And so you kind of learn what colors look best on you. As in colors of what you should be wearing, like the colors of your clothes. And what your sweaters should be. And one of mine happened to be what I like to call Clark Green. It is Clark Green. It's the Clark Green. So today you're going to talk about a couple of things. Well, first we worry so much like how are youth going to find jobs? You hear a lot. I mean, I have a recent college graduate and I have another one who's in college. And I can't even tell you, like, how many people were lamenting. My kid can't find a job. My daughter did find a job. It wasn't her ideal job at first. And then she did get a great job after that. And so, you know, a lot of people say how lucky she is that she found that job. So what are we looking at? |

| 1:17.8 | So I think you have some really, really interesting statistics about that. |
| 1:20.2 | And then also later on, the U.S. dollar. |
| 1:22.0 | Is the U.S. dollar dead? With all the geopolitical chaos we've had this year and really last year, there's this constant worry that the |
| 1:29.8 | world will be moving away from the dollar. We have some perspective on that today too. |
| 1:34.8 | And then of course, Wes will be answering your questions that you've sent in at clark.com |
| 1:39.6 | slash ask. Please note if your questions for Wes or for Clark. And Clark will be back with a new episode |
| 1:45.7 | tomorrow in case you're new to this show. We have Ask an Advisor every Tuesday because Clark |
| 1:51.1 | does three episodes a week and we thought it would be great to actually have a fiduciary financial |
| 1:55.9 | advisor on the show answering your questions because Clark is not an advisor and he focuses more on the |
| 2:02.0 | consumer angles. That's me. I feel like it really, I feel like both of the shows work well |
| 2:07.0 | together. They complement each other. Well, let's start with, so a lot of the talks I cover are |
| 2:12.7 | things they get brought up to me in any given day or week in my path as a dad and a financial |
| 2:20.7 | advisor helping families find happiness in retirement. And we're very often, there's a big part |
| 2:26.3 | of the conversation that's to do with family. And I had a couple in the other day who was |
| 2:31.0 | asking to talk about their grandkids and they were just out of |
| 2:34.4 | college and having trouble finding jobs and they said west you've got all these young kids and |
| 2:39.1 | there i've got a couple that are just getting to college age looking at college and then a few |
