Today's show we have GLC, Chicago hip hop legend, an incredibly bright man with all types of views

for the community, not just in Chicago but for the black community all over.

Of course if you know GLC's history you know he is one of the original members

one of the original members, one of the original rappers to be a part of

Kine West's good music label and has worked with Kiney

hand in hand since the beginning of his career.

I mean they were in a group together back in high school.

He wrote a lot of the early stuff.

He has two Grammy Awards from working with Kanye West, so I don't know if there's anybody in the music

industry who knows Jay better than GLC.

And for this, because of this, we attempt to decode some of these strange behaviors of Kanyay West with GLC while he is here.

We talked to him about the curious case of the MAGA hat.

We talked to him about his beginnings with Yea and sort of how he saw what was special about him from the beginning and how that led him to have his own career in hip-hop and how it led him to stay sort of allied

with Kanye West, loyal to Kanye West despite the fact that sometimes it doesn't seem like

Kanye West is you know allied with a lot or or loyal to us.

GLC has an interesting perspective as to why he hasn't turned his back on Yay and maybe that'll change your perspective.

If you've decided that you can no longer listen to Kanyay or that we have no more time for Kanyay West. We talked him about what's

going on in Chicago right now and about how he's making strides to hit parts of the Chicago inner city that we don't really talk about, to reestablish the belief

in themselves that a lot of kids in Chicago seem to have loss and really kids all over the place seem to have lost and how you do that.

GLC has a blueprint to fixing his community and I feel like those lessons and examples can be sort of extrapolated out and used, you know, all over

places, explained really well and then we can kind of take them other places. Um, listen, this is a very, very insightful brother.
