Today's podcast is a very useful phrasal verb, a two-word verb.

Here we go.

To gloss over to gloss over something g l-o-s-s-s-s gloss it's an a w sound the vowel gloss over what does it mean to gloss over something?

It means to talk about something, but not in detail.

To just talk about it a little bit, not very much. So, for example, somebody, well, actually the other

day, somebody asked me about my family life. And, well, you know, I glossed over my family life.

I told them a little bit, you know, I've got a mom and a dad,

not too much information, just a little bit. I glossed over my personal information. Most of us do.

Not everybody, but many people do. Some people talk about everything. Some people gloss over many things.

I've noticed online I look at all the English teachers.

I go to their YouTube channels and I try to see what they're doing, see if there's anything really good out there.

Some teachers are great.

I love some of the teachers.

But I've noticed that many teachers gloss over their content. They have something to teach. They have some special method,

but they don't tell you what it is. They just tell you just a little bit.

And in order to find out what it is, you have to sign up for the classes.

So that's good, I guess, for marketing.

If you want to, if you want people to join your classes, if they want to learn from you, they have to pay.
