This is your host, David Scales, back with you for another episode.

And you're probably wondering, it's late in the week week why is there a new episode being released right now and there's two reasons actually number one scott

bass reached out with of course one day's notice and said that he wanted to record because he had

been out of town for a few weeks and then I had

been out of town so we had not been able to link up but secondly I just realized after the fact

that we just passed our one year anniversary of surf splendor so I thought this would be a

great opportunity to do kind of a bonus episode

in celebration of that. And one year is not really significant in the grand scheme of things

when you reflect back on life. But at the same time, I feel like it's worth just stopping,

pausing, and kind of reflecting for a moment.

One year, it feels like a tremendous amount of work that was completed in that one year.

But at the same time, when I look at what we've done, it is a drop in the bucket of really what I would like to do.

And the guests that we've interviewed, I'm really

proud of and I have a lot of reverence for. And I learned a lot in the past year from those people.

A lot about surfing that I didn't know, but also just insight into, I don't know, life. And,

and, but that being said, I mean, I still haven't gotten

through, you know, 99% of the surf industry and personalities that I would like to just meet,
