students. However, talking on the phone in English can be even harder. Picture this. It's your first day of work

and you need to answer the phone and talk to clients in English. If you have no previous experience,

this can be a big challenge for you. And that's why I've decided to show you how to pick up the phone at work

and how to place a call without any difficulty. I'll start by teaching you some useful questions

that you can ask when you answer the phone at work. Start by saying hello. Let's see some examples. Good morning. Language learning, Jesse speaking. How may I help you? Or you could say language learning. This is Jesse speaking. You could also say language learning. This is Jesse speaking. Or you could simply say language

learning, Jesse speaking. After you say hello, it's time to ask some questions. Let's see some examples.

Could I ask who's calling please? Could I ask what company you're with?

Could you give me your mobile or cell phone number, please? If you're transferring a call,

inform the caller that you are doing so, so that they don't think that the line was disconnected.
