Today’s expression and dialog: to be tied up with something You wanna go watch a movie? I’d like to, but can’t. Maybe tomorrow? I don’t think I’ll be able to. I’m really tied up with work these days. Well, my HEALTH is now at 98%!! I'm almost fully recovered. I guess it is taking so long because I am old!!! ANYWAY~~ being sick for two weeks AND having your own business is NOT a good thing. I was not able to do ANYTHING for almost two weeks, so now I am SUPER busy trying to do all of my classes. When you are SUPER BUSY, we use a very nice expression that I will teach you in today's podcast! And, I want YOU to talk to me. I know that you are super busy, too. 0:37.8	Great.
0:39.2	Then you can use this expression.
0:39.8	Listen carefully.
0:42.3	To be tied up with something.
0:44.7	I'm tied up with something.
0:50.8	We can just say I'm tied up, but we usually add with. I'm tied up with something.
0:53.6	T-I-E-D-tied-up. U-P. To be tied up means to be busy.
1:01.1	And the nuance is is you are literally tied, you know, with string or with a rope to something.
1:10.1	So, for example, these days, I've been tied up with making videos.
1:16.3	I've been tied up with my videos.
1:19.7	As you know, I was sick for about two weeks.
1:23.2	And, oh boy, just because I'm sick doesn't mean the world stops.
1:28.5	So I fell behind in my lessons.
1:32.2	So I've been making lots and lots of videos.
1:36.1	It's as if I were tied to my camera.
1:40.5	And I'm shooting videos, editing videos.
1:43.8	I'm tied to my chair right now, editing videos, making this podcast.
