Hello and welcome to the 44th episode of Curiosityness. I'm the host, Travis DeRose, and I have on Duncan Steele.

Now, Duncan Steel is crazy awesome. We basically talk about his bookmarking time, but we talk about how

days, weeks, months, and years are all the

length they are and, you know, how the calendar was established and how kind of the modern

calendar came to be and everything. So it's super duper fun. But Duncan is a scientist and we really get down into some stuff.

This was kind of the like lazy man's interview because I just set Duncan off with a question or two and he just went and he just dives into all this stuff.

And it's extremely interesting and fun, but he goes deep.

So you've got to stick with it and focus in this a bit,

but it's definitely worth it. There's a lot of really cool, fun information that he shares.

And I really had a great time talking to him. And then also something that we dive into,

probably about halfway, two-thirds through is about the potential of some sort of big asteroid or comet coming and hitting

the earth and, you know, the small odds of that, but the catastrophic effects that that would

have. And, you know, he talks a lot about that, which is also extremely interesting. So,

without further ado, I'm going to let Duncan do some talking, and here is episode 44.

Obviously, we've had a real catastrophe here with a terrorist attacking Christchurch

and the whole of the country is somewhat muted, I would say, today, and we'll continue to be

for some time.

Yeah, I can imagine.
