Zach Rogue joins Wheels off from the almost entirely converted garage of his home in Oakland.

Now, the audio quality, because he and I are both connected to Wi-Fi and subject to the whims of

Ethernet cables and that sort of thing, the audio quality suffers towards the beginning of

this interview. Please hang in there. After a short while of jumpiness and clipped sound, it straightens out. So the last half, two-thirds of

the interview sounds really good. All of it is interesting and inspiring. Zach is a really cool,

thoughtful guy. He has his fingers in a lot of pies, so much so that

after we finished, he texted me and said, oh, man, I forgot to even talk about screenwriting,

because that is something he's also interested in. We had discussed it at great length just a

couple of weeks before.

But that's the way it is with creative people, right?

They make things and think about making things,

and it doesn't always matter what the kind of thing is that they're making.

Certainly not in the case of Zach Rogue.
