Hello everybody, welcome back to Daily Easy English Expression. Thank you very much for listening to this podcast. Boy, I've made a slew of podcasts, haven't I? That's for sure. What, what did I say?

That's today's expression. Today's expression is a slew of something. S-L-E-W.

Now, slew is also the past tense of sleigh, which means to kill.

But here we're using it as a noun, and this is slang.

It means a lot of something, a huge amount of something. So, once again, I have made a slew of podcasts.

Yeah, that's for sure.

I like making them, though.

You know, today I'm very, very happy. I went to the grocery store earlier today and I like fruit,

but to be honest, fruit is a little bit expensive. So I don't usually get too much fruit.

But today, oh, wow, they had an excellent sale on cherries.

Yes, dark red cherries.

Very good for you, very healthy.

And I can't remember, I think it was $1.99 a pound.

And that's still a little bit expensive, but they're so good.

So I bought a slew of cherries.
