I'm Andrew Stortz, and on this episode, we're going to be talking about the news of an ink ban in Europe.

Two ink pigments, blue 15 and green seven, which are found in an array of tattoo ink colors.

They're being banned.

They are supposedly not safe to be tattooed into humans.

And who determined they're unsafe?

We're still not exactly sure.

And there's a lot of confusion surrounding all of this I've found.

And I know that here in the States, there's not a lot of regulation as far as tattoo ink goes.

So we kind of feel like we're safe

and it's kind of like the wild west but i think it's naive to assume that that will continue forever

there's been a lot of talk in the last week or two about this ink ban and the implications that

come with it what it could mean for the future, and how these sorts of regulations

could be found in other countries outside of Europe. I'm seeing all the expected petitions.

I saw a live stream and some videos from Mario Barth, who owns Intent's tattoo inks.

And he's really trying to pull a rabbit out of his hat to make some change

as far as this ink ban goes because that's really going to affect ink companies. So it's no

mystery that someone in his position would be very tuned into this sort of ban. So what I wanted

to do was talk to someone who had more knowledge than me about this topic,

which probably isn't too hard to find.
