Podcast. And today we've got none other than Freak Bass with us, who I, I've been following Freak Bass for the last,

probably like two or three years. I think I saw him playing on YouTube a few, yeah, a few years ago.

And then just started getting into his music and I've been

checking out what he's doing and boy this guy is seriously, seriously funky. I'm going to put

some videos of him on the in the show notes so you can check him out but he's just got such a great

groove and we're going to talk about who he's played with

we're going to talk about his influences his experiences with it when he met Bootsie Collins

and kind of was taken under Bootsie's wing um the full thing we're going to talk about in this week's show

I think you're going to really really love it now I just also want to give a shout out to all

excitement about it, which is really great. And I think it's because we've touched on something

that there's not really anything specifically for bass players out there with this topic. And I really felt that as a bass player. I had to learn this stuff on my own, a lot of research and, you know, and all those shenanigans. So it's really good. I felt really great getting this into the course. It's the lead sheet survival guide. So it is a course showing you exactly how to read lead sheets, what all the terminology is, how that applies to you. It's really, really great. And it is something that you absolutely should be getting down, you know, into your bass playing.

Reading lead sheets, everybody needs to do this. It is so important and it just gives you a,

you can communicate with other musicians on, in such a, you know, it just speeds up the entire

process when you're in jam sessions or working with bands. It's just a key

skill that everybody should have. So it's the lead sheet survival guide. It's coming out in a

couple of weeks time. So keep a lookout for it. I think there's like 19 lessons in there. It's

almost two hours long. You know, the full thing, the full thing. So look out for that. And I'll give you a
