And we begin with a Brady Bunch twist to the measles outbreak and the actress who played

Marsha none too happy about it. Those who oppose vaccines are

pointing to an episode from 1969 that features the whole family sick with the measles and

celebrating because they don't have to go to school.

If you have to get sick, Marsha says in the show, you sure can't beat the measles.

All six Brady kids are thankful they don't have to take any medicine or worse get shots.

Antivaxers say the 50-year-old sitcom is proof that the disease is no big deal.

Maureen McCormick, who plays Marsha, is fighting back.

She says she knows firsthand that the disease is a big deal.

Her own bout with it was awful and all her kids are vaccinated.

Yesterday the CDC released new numbers on the epidemic.

More than 700 cases have been reported across the United States.

Today for the first time in 200 years an emperor in Japan is hanging up his crown.

Emperor Akaito is 83 years old.

He's been hinting for a while now that age is slowing him down

and his fitness level is not where it should be for the job.

So today the nation's beloved leader will abdicate or give up the throne and tomorrow his

son, crown prince Narohito, will take over.

The Emperor is a ceremonial but revered figure in Japan.

It is currently the oldest hereditary monarchy in the world dating back 14 centuries.

Akaito himself is a direct descendant of Japan's first emperor believed to have reigned around 660 BC.
